Response to two key challenges for EV services

A modern workshop, dismantling station, or roadside assistance base must meet two critical procedures:

• Safe quarantine of EV/PHEV vehicles after a collision or suspected damage to the traction battery, where there is a risk of a sudden Thermal Runaway event.

• Legal storage of hazardous waste, including dismantled, defective, or unstable high-voltage (HV) battery modules.

Building stationary, concrete quarantine zones with specialized separators and drainage systems involves high financial outlays and permanent occupation of space. The eCar-Safetybox container provides a mobile, autonomous alternative.

Key features of the eCar-Safetybox container

• Functionality 2-in-1: It serves as a sealed quarantine chamber for entire vehicles (passenger and commercial) or a safe storage for damaged and exhausted lithium-ion batteries.

• Full environmental protection and retention of up to 10,000 liters: The design guarantees 100% tightness, retaining used firefighting water, foam, and leaking acids and electrolytes, protecting groundwater from contamination.

• Mobility and no construction work required: The standard hook container (Abrollbehälter) allows for easy positioning, relocation, and integration on-site without building permits.

• Work ergonomics: A hydraulic loading ramp with a capacity of 5.5 t and an internal width of (2.85 m) allow for easy vehicle entry and free door opening.

• Dedicated connections for the Fire Department: Built-in connections B-Storz enable PSP/OSP units to immediately connect firefighting lines and cool the interior without opening the container doors.

• TÜV SÜD certification: The product meets stringent European standards, has TÜV SÜD certification, and is successfully used in dealer networks in Germany and across Europe.

• Optional 24/7 IoT thermal monitoring: The possibility of equipping with a wireless, battery-powered sensor system that transmits real-time telemetry data and temperature alerts to the cloud.
