S-TYPE tarp: why does it set the standard in the automotive industry?
Owners and managers of First Stop service centers had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the specifications and ergonomics of the S-TYPE fire containment tarp. This solution is radically different from standard fire blankets available on the market:

Rigid certification and electrical safety: The tarp is made of modified silicate fabric with a vermiculite mineral coating. It has been tested for non-flammability (DIN EN 13501-1) and lack of electrical conductivity (DIN 54345-1), which is critical for high-voltage installations.

Extreme thermal resistance: It withstands loads up to 1200°C in continuous operation and up to 1600°C for short periods while maintaining mechanical integrity.

Active gas venting and cooling capability: The microporous structure of the material allows for safe, continuous venting of pyrolytic gases, preventing explosive accumulation under the cover. A special weave allows for the direct application of firefighting water through the tarp for cooling the battery pack.

Rapid deployment (Z-fold system): An ergonomic folding method allows two mechanics to efficiently unfold the tarp over the vehicle in just a few seconds – both in an open area and directly on the workshop lift.

CNBOP-PIB recommendation and OEM tests: The solution has a formal recommendation for suitability from CNBOP-PIB (no. RP-0026/2025), DIN SPEC 91489:2024 certification, and positive results from laboratory and field tests conducted, among others, by Mercedes-Benz.
Dedicated implementation package for First Stop services and PIRE patronage
In response to numerous inquiries received immediately after the presentation, EVSolutions has prepared a dedicated implementation program for First Stop dealers. It includes preferential conditions for equipping facilities with mobile S-TYPE kits, quarantine station audits, and practical training for technical personnel.

EV Safety in Independent Workshops: EVSolutions and PSNSM at the First Stop Dealers Convention in Łódź
The 2023 edition of the First Stop Dealers Convention took place at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Łódź – one of the key events for the Polish aftermarket, organized by the Bridgestone brand. Over 160 leading tire and mechanical service centers from across the country participated in the meeting. EVSolutions, as the Official Safety Partner of the Polish Association of Independent Automotive Services (PSNSM), presented certified fire protection technologies for electric vehicles, which received official endorsement from the PSNSM Board.
New workshop realities: electromobility requires procedures and certified equipment
The dynamic increase in the number of electric and hybrid vehicles has made servicing cars with lithium-ion batteries a daily routine for independent workshops. Seasonal tire changes, alignment, suspension repairs, and quarantine of accident-damaged vehicles are associated with specific thermal risks.
In the event of cell damage and thermal runaway, traditional powder or foam extinguishers offer rescuers and mechanics no chance of controlling the situation. During the convention, experts from EVSolutions and PSNSM emphasized that effective workshop safety requires moving away from improvisation towards an integrated model: equipment + procedure + training.
Joint booth with Travicom and official recommendation from the PSNSM Board
During the trade fair part of the convention, EVSolutions shared a booth with its technology partner – the company Travicom, a manufacturer of modular workshop flooring. The combination of Travicom's durable, load-resistant floors with EV's fire protection technologies created a cohesive presentation of a safe, modern service station.
A key point of presence at the convention was the involvement of the Polish Association of Independent Automotive Services. The S-TYPE technical tarp was personally presented at the booth by the President of PSNSM. By decision of the Association's Board, this solution was officially recommended to all member services in Poland as a proven, certified standard for securing service halls and parking areas against the effects of potential HV battery fires.
