True automation of painting in real time: EVSolutions launches a series of study trips to the SEHON Technology Center in Germany.

The last Automechanika trade fair in Frankfurt clearly set the direction for the development of modern automotive refinishing and industrial paint shops. The future belongs to uncompromising automation and multi-axis robotics for spraying processes. In response to the enormous interest from owners of bodywork and paint service centers, dealer groups (ASO), and manufacturing plants, EVSolutions inaugurates an official series of regular study trips to the headquarters and Training Center of SEHON Innovative Lackieranlagen GmbH in Gechingen (Germany). Participants will have the opportunity to see live the advanced painting robot developed in collaboration with NST Robotics in full operational cycle.

Automechanika Frankfurt is just the beginning: it's time for tests in operational conditions.

This year's edition of Automechanika in Frankfurt proved that the paint industry faces the necessity of immediate cost optimization, increasing efficiency, and overcoming problems with the availability of skilled labor. However, not every entrepreneur had the opportunity to personally visit the technology booths in Frankfurt and assess firsthand how advanced painting automation looks in practice.

Special recognition should be given here to the creators of the platform propainter.pl, who are doing an excellent educational job in the Polish market. Their publications and video analyses precisely point out the realities of the workshop, making the industry aware of why precision of application, repeatability, and lack of quality compromises are conditions for the profitability of a modern paint shop.

EVSolutions goes a step further: instead of relying solely on demonstration materials, we invite management and technology staff directly to the heart of German painting engineering.

Real painting robot vs. gate solutions – what is the difference?

There have been many simplifications in the market around the concept of "painting robotics." While some solutions available in the industry are essentially simple spray beams or axially limited gate structures, the system SEHON with NST Robotics technology represents a completely different class of engineering:

  • Full, multi-axis industrial kinematics: The arms of the NST robots replicate the fluid, anatomical movements of a master painter, working in a full three-dimensional space.

  • Adaptive scanning and geometry matching: The vision system and control algorithms analyze the shape, curves, and position of the body or individual elements of the sheet metal in real-time.

  • Surgical precision of coating thickness:Robotized application eliminates drips, unevenness, and human errors, guaranteeing an ideal paint structure on every element.

  • Drastic reduction in material and energy consumption: Trajectory optimization reduces paint waste (overspray) by as much as 20-30%, and precise coordination with the cabin volume lowers ventilation and heating costs.

  • Measurable ROI: Shortening the painting cycle time while maintaining 100% repeatability allows service centers to dramatically increase throughput without the need for expanding facilities.

What does the study trip program in Gechingen include?

A visit to the SEHON Technology Center is an intensive, substantive day of work with next-generation technology:

  • Presentation of the SEHON / NST Robotics painting robot in full operational cycle: Demonstration of primer, base coats, and clear coats application on real body elements.

  • Integration with next-generation paint booths: Learning about air flow management systems, advanced control panels, and integrated coating drying systems.

  • Analysis of economic parameters and return on investment (ROI):Specific cost calculations tailored to the scale of operations – from independent accident repair centers to multi-brand ASO stations.

  • Direct engineering consultations: Opportunity to talk with SEHON designers and NST robotics programmers about the technical conditions for adapting the system in existing or newly designed facilities.

Cyclical study trips – registrations for the first date are now open.

Meetings in Gechingen will be organized by EVSolutions in a cyclical format, at quarterly intervals. We are already opening the reservation list for trips in the first and second quarters of next year.

However, the nearest premiere study trip will still take place in the current quarter. Due to the workshop's closed nature and the need to provide each participant with direct access to demonstration equipment, the number of places in the group is strictly limited.

Currently, only 3 spots are left for this year's date. How to participate?

Jak wziąć udział?

We invite owners of body and paint shops, operational directors of dealer groups, and managers of industrial plants planning modernization or construction of new paint lines to get in touch.
